Hi Jiacomo, thanks so much for your kind words.

For starting out with meditation, I highly recommend the following books:

Meditation by Sri Chinmoy

Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda by Swami Vivekananda

The Life Divine by Sri Aurobindo

The first, Meditation by Sri Chinmoy, really is the simplest and most concise introduction to meditation I've encountered. Vivekananda is similarly concise and easy to follow, but is also a good starting point for the place of meditation within Eastern philosophy and mysticism, as likewise is Sri Aurobindo.

Of course meditation, although ultimately a very simple practise, is also a very vast topic, and a little like finding the right pair of running shoes—it's all about finding what fits you the best, and gets you where you want to go.
