Hi John,
Camille tagged me with the same post and I really enjoyed doing it. It's a really good one and gets one thinking about the wonderful things you can encounter in people's blogs. I am going to check out your suggestions.

Thanks Alf, although aside from 'Paint it Black,' which has the distinction in my extended tour of music of introducing me to the sitar (old-timers may understand my little reference to the tv show 'Tour of Duty' there, of which it is the theme song)—which was something of a revelation to me in all sorts of ways, the Stones have never really taken. The Beatles maybe—although it has taken relative old-age for me to appreciate them—in my pride and ignorance of youth I hated anything made before 1984 for the longest while.

And then there's <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4bHMVAKDao" rel="nofollow">The Stone Roses...</a>

Interesting story about Lucy, reminds me of that song Lovely Lucy Meter Maid by The Rolling Stones. The story had a perfect ending, although the author should have been arrested for stalking.

You have made me contemplate the collective unconscious of the blog world, John. It is something I have thought about before, but I must admit I am none the wiser now.

Cum grano salis,

Thanks Camille. I’ve gone and discovered myself a few more memes, which means the eternal problem of“What am I going to write next?” has been solved, at least for a couple of days.

Very interesting story John. I like it. 155 comments on it. Wow. I'm not familiar with reddit but yes, I agree, it's crazy to try and solve a mystery that is almost 20 years old, but hey! give them their fancy! It could inspire a host of further stories that sweep the blogosphere into a crazy out of control wonderland... in fact, has that already happened?

I love the title 'Me me me'... Someone needed to do it!

Regarding best post of 2007 at the beginning of the year... I thought the same question. But who am I to judge the sanity of it? Perhaps it was a typo along the way, or perhaps the mindset of bloggers is lacking in attention that couldn't possibly look further than a couple of months? Perhaps it was math? Or perhaps the one who started this meme wasn't blogging in 2006?
Trying to find the sensibility slightly confused me so I just took the gift horse and didn't bother to look him inside out.

Thanks for pointing out the story. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
